Kota Kupang. Spektrum-Ntt.com || Drs. Jacki Uly., MH selaku Anggota Komisi III DPR RI dari Fraksi NasDem melakukan kegiatan Sosialisasi Undang - Undang kepada masyarakat Kelurahan Lasiana Kota Kupang.

Hadir dalam kegiatan pada pihak pemerintah setempat dalam hal ini Kepala Seksi Pemerintahan Kelurahan Lasiana, Tokoh Masyarakat setempat, Tokoh Agama dan Pemuda. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan pada 11 Maret 2023

Sementara itu, salah satu masyarakat yang hadir dalam giat tersebut, Ibu Yus Mesak menyampaikan:

“Terima kasih kepada Bapak Jacki Uly yang sudah hadir di tempat ini, kami bangga ada Anggota DPR RI yang melihat kami di tempat ini, saya punya permintaan Bapak Jacki selalu mau mendengarkan aspirasi dari kami masyarakat kecil. Semoga Bapak Jacki Uly senantiasa membantu masyarakat kecil yang membutuhkan bantuan," paparnya.

Anggota Komisi III DPR RI, Drs. Jacki Uly., M.H menyampaikan dalam kegiatan tersebut. 

"Saya mengucapkan limpah terima kasih karena sudah diterima ditempat ini, perlu saya sampaikan bahwa kewajiban setiap anggota DPR RI untuk melakukan kegiatan kunjungan Sosialisasi Undang-Undang dan sekaligus menyampaikan aspirasi saja yang sudah dikerjakan oleh kami di pusat. Bapak dan Ibu sekalian saat ini kita sudah punya UU KUHP yang baru disahkan beberapa waktu lalu. Perlu sampaikan bahwa sebelumnya KUHP kita ini merupakan peninggalan zaman belanda dan oleh karena itu bangsa kita saat ini sudah punya KUHP nya sendiri. Ada beberapa hal yang dinilai menjadi point penting yaitu mengenai hukuman mati bagi pelaku kejahatan. Ini menarik sebab di negara - negara Eropa sudah menghapus yang namanya hukuman mati karena dianggap manusia tidak bisa menjatuhkan hukuman mati kepada manusia yang lain. Saya berharap Bapak dan Ibu sekalian bisa memberikan masukan kepada saya untuk bisa saya bawa ke pusat untuk diperjuangkan. Apalagi saya lihat disini ada sejumlah kelompok penenun dan ini perlu di dukung agar UMKM di masyarakat bisa berkembang dan muncul menjadi ekonomi rakyat," ujarnya.
