Kupang.Spektrum-Ntt.com || Relawan Teman Jeriko bersama sejumlah OKP akan menanam sejumlah anakan sepe di Jalur 40, Kelurahan Manulai Dua, Kecamatan Alak, Jumat (12/1) Besok.

Ketua Teman Jeriko, Yan Piter Lilo mengatakan bahwa aksi tersebut bertujuan merawat semangat Gerakan Kupang Hijau yang ditinggalkan Dr. Jefri Riwu Kore selama memimpin Kota Kupang.

"Ada sebuah warisan yang perlu dirawat bersama oleh masyarakat Kota Kupang, yakni Gerakan Kupang Hijau (GKH), karena ini untuk merawat Kupang yang asri, Kupang yang segar dan nyaman untuk di huni setiap warganya," ujar Yan yang juga pernah menjadi Pengurus Pusat GMKI ini.

Menurut Yan, kegiatan ini juga dilakukan bertepatan dengan Hari Ulang Tahun, Dr. Jefri Riwu Kore yang jatuh pada esok hari tanggal tiga belas januari, Teman Jeriko tidak merayakan dengan sesuatu yang mewah tapi dengan cara unik yakni ajakan menanam pohon sebagai wujud syukur dan sukacita pada momentum ulang tahun mantan Walikota Kupang ini.

Sejumlah komunitas dan perkumpulan orang muda akan terlibat dalam kegiatan tersebut, diantaranya GSMJ, KOPI ARAK, Lecet Family, Kemahnuri dan Parindra.

Yan melanjutkan bahwa segala persiapan teknis sudah dilakukan sejak hari Rabu kemarin, mulai dari penggalian lubang tanam, Teman Jeriko menyiapkan 250 lubang tanam dan persiapannya juga ada 250 anakan pohon sepe atau Flamboyan.

"Ada juga tanaman produktif, kami akan bagi kepada setiap peserta yang hadir, untuk ditanam di sekretariat organisasi masing-masing, ada anakan sirsak dan jambu kristal," ujar Yan.

Dipastikan 60 orang perwakilan dari organisasi dan komunitas orang muda akan hadir dalam gerakan tersebut. *
