Kota Kupang.Spektrum-Ntt.com || Wali Kota Kupang, Jefri Riwu Kore (Jeriko) akan tetap berjuang untuk masyarakat Kota Kupang dengan maju sebagai calon Wali Kota Kupang ditahun 2024, meski saat ini dirinya tidak lagi menjabat Ketua DPD Demokrat NTT. 

 

Demikian disampaikan Jeriko saat jumpa pers di Rumah Aspirasi Jeriko di Jl.Samratulangi, Oesapa Barat Kota Kupang, pada Jumat (07/01/2021) usai dijemput dan diarak pendukung dan simpatisannya dari Bandara El Tari Kupang.

 

"Tidak dengan Ketua (DPD Demokrat NTT, red), kita tetap berjuang untuk masyarakat kita (masyarakat Kota Kupang, red)," tegasnya. 

 

Menurutnya, Partai Demokrat berjuang untuk masyarakat, dirinya dan kader Demokrat lain juga berjuang untuk masyarakat. "Oleh karena itu, kekecewaan yang diterima (dialami) kawan-kawan (simpatisan, red) hari ini buang jauh-jauh dari dalam hati kawan-kawan semua. Saya minta kekecewaan ini jangan berlarut-larut," pintanya. 

 

Apa yang terjadi hari ini, kata Jeriko, jadi pelajaran berharga bahwa dalam mengambil suatu keputusan, DPP Demokrat perlu mempertimbangkan berbagai aspek. "Harus fair dalam menilai, bahwa kepemimpinan itu benar, bagus dan fair, punya karakter dan punya kesetiaan yang luar biasa," tegasnya. 

 

Jeriko mengungkapkan, dirinya dan kader Demokrat lainnya menjadi kader yang setia dan loyalitas yang luar biasa. "Namun, tidak fair dan tidak pada tempatnya seorang pemimpin (AHY, red) mengambil keputusan yang salah yang menyebabkan banyak orang kecewa," kritiknya. 

 

Bagi Jeriko, hasil pemilihan (Ketua DPD Demokrat NTT dalam Musda Demokrat 2021 lalu, red) dirinya unggul dalam perolehan suara dukungan. "Angka 12 (Jeriko) 11 (Leo Lelo) di mana-mana, anak kecil pun tahu kalau. Tetapi saya juga tahu, mungkin saja ada tekanan-tekanan di Partai Demokrat yang menyulitkan pak Ketua Umum (AHY) untuk memberikan keputusan terhadap sesuatu hal yang sangat sensitif ini," ungkapnya. 

 

Jeriko mengatakan, "tanpa mengurangi rasa hormat kami kepada kawan lain, bahwa kita punya integritas dan keunggulan yang jauh dari kawan yang lain. Oleh karena itu, keputusan yang tidak fair ini banyak menyebabkan kawan-kawan kecewa."

 

Jeriko mengungkapkan, pada tanggal 3 Januari 2022, Ia diberitahu oleh Sekjen DPP Demokrat, Teuku Rifky Harsa bahwa pengumuman tersebut (SK DPP Demokrat yang menentukan siapa Ketua DPD Demokrat NTT, red) kepada Leo Lelo. "Nanti paling lambat DPP Demokrat akan menyampaikan informasi siapa Ketua DPD Demokrat pada Sabtu (08/01) atau minggu depan. 

 

"Saya jawab, kalau begitu sebagai kader Partai Demokrat saya terima itu, tetapi berikan saya kesempatan supaya saya bisa menenangkan dan supaya kawan-kawan bisa menerima keputusan yang memang tidak fair ini," bebernya. 

 

Tetapi kenyataannya, lanjut Jeriko, pihaknya tertipu, karena ternyata sorenya surat (SK) sudah diserahkan Sekjen DPP Demokrat ke Leo Lelo (Ketua DPD Demokrat yang baru, red). Dengan demikian, dirinya tidak sempat memberitahukan kepada teman-teman dan para simpatisan, karena sorenya dirinya langsung berangkat ke Surabaya. 

 

"Jadi, saya menyadari kawan-kawan kecewa atas keputusan yang tiba-tiba itu dan unpredictable (tak terprediksi). Karena itu, memang sebagai kader kita masih bisa terima itu dan tenang semua dan jangan bikin keributan. Karena sebagai anak Tuhan, saya percaya ini Tuhan yang atur semua," ungkapnya. 

 

Jeriko juga mengungkapkan, bahwa pasca Putusan DPP Demokrat tentang Pimpinan DPD Demokrat NTT, banyak teman dan sahabat serta simpatisan Jeriko menghubungi Jeriko dan bertanya tanggapannya terkait hasil putusan DPP, Demokrat. 

 

"Saya yakin keputusan Ketua Umum Partai Demokrat pasti melewati berbagai pertimbangan, namun saya juga percaya ada bisikan-bisikan yang salah kepada pak Ketua Umum (AHY) sehingga pak Ketua Umum bisa mengambil keputusan yang salah," jelasnya. 

 

Menanggapi informasi aksi simpatisan Jeriko yang membakar atribut Demokrat dan gambar AHY, Jeriko tegaskan itu merupakan tindakan/cara tidak benar. "Kita harus pakai cara yang benar. Kecewa boleh, tetapi jangan membakar," tegasnya. 

 

Terkait gelombang desakan dari simpatisan dan loyalis Jeriko agar dirinya mundur dari Partai Demokrat, Jeriko mengatakan masih mempertimbangkan dan sambil mengkaji apa yang menjadi temuan pendukung dan masyarakat Kota Kupang. (SN/tim)
