Kupang.SpektrumNtt.com || Pemerintah Kota Kupang kembali menyerahkan kunci rumah kepada lima (5) orang kepala keluarga yang telah selesai dibedah di Kota Kupang, Selasa (11/01/2022). 

 

Penyerahan kunci rumah tersebut oleh Wali Kota Kupang, Dr. Jefirstson R. Riwu Kore, MM, MH. Semua penerima manfaat bantuan bedah rumah program pemerintah Kota Kupang kali ini merupakan warga usia lanjut. Salah satu di antaranya adalah seorang janda yang mengalami kelumpuhan akibat sakit yang dideritanya selama tujuh tahun terakhir.

 

Lokasi pertama penyerahan kunci bantuan bedah rumah di Kelurahan Oesapa Barat adalah rumah milik ibu Aplonia Seli Dethan di RW 04, Kelurahan Oesapa Barat. Kunci rumah diterima langsung oleh ibu Aplonia, seorang janda yang tinggal bersama kedua orang anaknya sejak suaminya meninggal beberapa tahun silam.

 

Sejak itu ia mengambil peran sebagai ibu sekaligus kepala keluarga. Untuk memenuhi kebutuhan keluarganya ibu Aplonia Dethan berjualan di pasar dengan modal seadanya. 

 

Walikota bersama rombongan kemudian melanjutkan perjalanan ke Kelurahan Kelapa Lima di RT. 20 untuk menyerahkan kunci rumah kepada Bapak Ruben Rodjo. Di rumah tersebut Ruben Rodjo tinggal bersama istrinya Damaris Rodjo dan tiga orang anaknya. Di masa senja mereka berdua hanya menggantungkan hidup pada anak-anaknya. Sebelum dibedah, kondisi rumah bapak Ruben sudah sangat tidak layak untuk dihuni. Menyambut kunjungan Walikota Kupang, kedua orang lanjut usia itu menghampiri dan memberi hormat penuh kehangatan, sambil mengalungkan kain tenun di pundak Walikota, Oma Damaris memeluk Walikota yang biasa disapa Jeriko itu. 

 

Dari Kecamatan Kelapa Lima, rombongan kemudian meneruskan perjalanan ke Kecamatan Maulafa, tepatnya di Kelurahan Maulafa untuk menyerahkan kunci rumah kepada Bapak Yohanis Djami Lena (53 tahun). Bapak Yohanis tidak memiliki istri dan hidup sebatang kara. Penyerahan kunci rumah tersebut berlangsung di dalam rumah karena pada saat itu kelurahan Maulafa diguyur hujan deras. 

 

Menyambut penyerahan kunci rumah bapak Yohanis didampingi kerabat dan tetangga. Dengan penuh rasa bahagia dan haru bapak Yohanis menyampaikan terima kasih kepada Wali Kota Kupang atas program bantuan bedah rumah yang menyentuh rakyat kecil dan tak mampu. Ia berharap program bedah rumah ini bisa terus dilanjutkan agar masyarakat Kota Kupang yang belum memiliki rumah layak huni bisa mendapatkan bantuan seperti dirinya. 

 

Dari Kecamatan Maulafa, Wali Kota bersama rombongan menuju rumah Oma Lebrina Bistolen di kelurahan Bakunase. Ibu Lebrina Bistolen adalah seorang janda yang mengalami kelumpuhan sejak 7 tahun yang lalu akibat serangan stroke dan komplikasi lainnya. Ia hanya terbaring di tempat tidur karena sakit yang diderita. Suaminya telah lama meninggal dan setiap hari Oma Lebrina dibantu seorang anak perempuannya yang telah dewasa, bernama mama Yane. Mama Yane selain mengurus keseharian Oma Lebrina, juga harus menyelesaikan beberapa pekerjaan lainnya mulai dari menyiram sayur hingga mengurus ternak. 

 

Mewakili Oma Lebrina, mama Yane menyampaikan terima kasih kepada Pemerintah Kota Kupang yang telah membantu Oma Lebrina. Dengan suara terisak ia menyampaikan keluarga mengucapkan terima kasih kepada Bapak Wali Kota Kupang dan semua jajaran yang telah melihat dan membantu membangun rumah bagi Oma Lebrina. 

 

“Tidak ada yang bisa kami beri selain ucapan terima kasih dan doa tulus, semoga dalam pelayanan Bapak Wali Kota dan jajarannya selalu diberikan berkat dan kebijaksanaan berlimpah dari Tuhan Yang Maha Kuasa. Pada kesempatan ini kami keluarga juga mengucapkan selamat ulang tahun yang ke-62 tahun kepada bapak Wali Kota, semoga diberikan umur panjang dan kesehatan, menjadi berkat bagi keluarga dan masyarakat Kota Kupang,” pungkasnya. 

 

Perjalanan dilanjutkan menuju kelurahan Bakunase 2, tepatnya di RT 16, di rumah bapak Romanus Tupitu Seran (55Th). Bapak Romanus adalah seorang lansia yang setiap harinya bekerja sebagai petani sawah dan menyiram sayur di kebun dekat rumahnya.
