Kupang, Spektrum-ntt. com || Jurusan Pariwisata Politeknik Negeri Kupang melaksanakan pengabdian masyarakat di Destinasi Wisata Pantai Cendawan Lasiana, Kelurahan Lasiana, RT 16/RW 04, Kecamatan Kelapa Lima, Kota Kupang.

Dalam pengabdian masyarakat tersebut juga diberikan sosialisasi dengan tema "Peningkatan Kualitas Masyarakat Sekitar Daya Tarik Wisata Pantai Lasiana Melalui Sosialisasi Sadar Wisata Dan Hospitality."

Demikian disampaikan Ketua Jurusan Pariwisata Feny Susana Eky, S.S., M.A., saat dijumpai media ini pada Jumat, 24 November 2023.

Selain mereka memberikan sosialisasi kepada masyarakat, ada pula hal-hal yang disumbangkan kepada masyarakat di Pantai Cendawan tersebut.

"Nah, kita punya sumbangsih selain pelatihan hospitality dan sadar wisata, kita juga sumbang spot foto, sapta pesona, tong sampah etalase dan kursi," Jelas.

Tidak hanya Pantai Cendawan tersebut, mereka juga menyumbangkan beberapa alat serupa ke Pantai Paradiso.

Hal itu dilakukan karena tahun ini dua lokaso itu yang diintervensi oleh PNK.

"Jadi kami diminta untuk memberikan bantuan ke Paradiso juga tetapi hanya berupa spot foto dan sapta pesona," jelas Feny.

Adapun tujuan daripada kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat tersebut yaitu memenuhi kebutuhan masyarakat yang setelah diidentifikasi oleh tim P3M.

"Tim mengidentifikasi bahwa masyarakat disini membutuhkan bantuan-bantuan itu. Karena ada enam jurusan dengan tugas masing-masing. Ada pemasangan lampu, ada bagian teknik elektro, mesin, ada bantuan lapak dan sebagainya," ungkap Feny.

Selain itu juga, dirinya menyampaikan tujuan utama dari aspek wisata tersebut yaitu membangun fasilitas, juga membangun knowledge dan skill masyarakat dalam hal pariwisata.

Pada kesempatan itu, Ketua RT Yefta Benyamin selaku penggerak utama dalam merintis Pantai Cendawan tersebut, dirinya sangat bersyukur atas bantuan dan sumbangsih dari Politeknik Negeri Kupang.

"Saya atas nama RT 16 dan mewakili beberapa RT disini pertama adalah menyambut baik dengan apa yang diberikan oleh Politeknik Negeri Kupang," ungkap Yefta.

Yefta menyampaikan bahwa hal tersebut merupakan langkah awal dari Pantai Cendawan.

Dirinya juga mengatakan sebagai ketua RT tentu perlu memperhatikan masyarakatnya, agar mendapatkan tempat yang layak terutama karena Pantai Cendawan merupakan inisiatif dari RT sendiri untuk dijadikan sebagai sebuah destinasi wisata.
