Adi Sucipto depan SMP Negeri 20 Kota Kupang dan SMA Negeri 4 Kota Kupang, yang masuk dalam RT 35 RW 12, Kelurahan Oesapa. Apabila kedapatan membuang sampah di area tersebut akan dikenakan denda dua ratus lima puluh ribu (250.000).

Demikian disampaikan Lurah Oesapa, Kiai Kia saat dijumpai media ini di ruang kerjanya pada Selasa,(07/03/23).

"Telah ada kesepakatan bersama RT/RW dan kemarin sore RT sudah memasang papan himbauan disitu untuk tidak membuang sampah, jika kedapatan akan dikenakan denda 250.000," tegas Lurah Oesapa. 

Ketegasan itu dikarenakan lokasi tersebut bukan tempat pembuangan sampah,namun selama ini dijadikan sebagai tempat membuang sampah oleh warga sekitar bahkan masyarakat dari kelurahan lain.

"Terkait sampah di samping SMPN 20 itu, kami kelurahan Oesapa kewalahan karena tidak bisa membendung orang membuang sampah disana, hal ini sebab lebih banyak bukan penduduk Oesapa tetapi orang dari tempat lain datang menggunakan pick up dan motor, buah sampah pada malam hari," jelas Lurah Oesapa. 

Lanjutnya, bila hanya penduduk Oesapa yang membuang sampah di area itu tentu tidak sebanyak yang dilihat beberapa hari ini. 

"Tidak berarti bahwa orang Oesapa tidak buang sampah sama sekali, barang kali ada namun tidak terlalu banyak karena kondisi warga di sekitar sini sudah bangun kesepakatan untuk mengumpulkan sampah di rumah masing-masing, baru Dinas Kebersihan mengangkut, jadi saya tidak yakin kalau disana kami punya sampah sendiri," ujar Kiai.

Pantauan media ini Rabu, (08/03/23) pagi saat melintasi lokasi itu, tumpukan sampah di samping SMPN 20 Kota Kupang telah di garuk menggunakan excavator dan diangkut oleh Dinas Kebersihan Kota Kupang. 

Langkah selanjutnya dari Lurah Oesapa untuk mengatasi sampah di area tersebut, pertama akan dikenakan denda 250.000 bagi mereka yang kedapatan, kedua bekerjasama dengan pemuda setempat untuk membantu menjaga, ketiga akan memasang portal pada malam hari mulai pukul 18:00 WITA hingga 06:00 WITA.
