Kupang.Spektrum-ntt.com|| Terpantau tumpukan sampah dari cabang masuk menuju SMP Negeri 20 Kota Kupang dan SMA Negeri 4 Kota Kupang tepatnya di Jl. Adi Sucipto, Oesapa.

Di lokasi itu tidak terlihat kontainer sampah sehingga sampah berhamburan dan timbul aroma tidak sedap (berbau busuk, red).

Pantauan media ini pukul 12:15 Wita saat melintasi jalan tersebut, terlihat tumpukan sampah itu kebanyakan bungkusan plastik yang berisi sampah rumah tangga, tumpukan tempurung kelapa dan ranting-ranting pohon setinggi kurang lebih 1 meter dan panjang kurang lebih 15 meter, dari arah atas cabang masuk SMP 20 Kota Kupang dan SMA Negeri 4 Kota Kupang pada Jumat,(03/03/23).

Tumpukan sampah itu mengeluarkan bau tidak sedap sehingga mengganggu polusi udara bagi pejalan kaki dan pengendara roda 2 dan roda 4 yang melintas di ruas jalan tersebut.

Pemerintah Kota Kupang terus berupaya untuk mengatasi sampah, dengan program Gerakan Masuk Got untuk wujudkan Kupang Bersih yang digalakkan Penjabat Wali Kota Kupang, George M. Hadjoh,SH yang dimulai dari Aparatur Sipil Negara (ASN) Lingkup Pemerintah Kota Kupang, serta para lurah hingga RT/RW untuk dapat memberikan contoh kepada masyarakat untuk menjaga lingkungan agar tetap bersih.

Seperti dikutip dari NTT PEMBARUAN.id–Pemerintah Kota (Pemkot) Kupang akan menerapkan peraturan daerah (Perda) sebagai dasar hukum untuk memberikan sanksi bagi pelaku atau oknum masyarakat yang membuang sampah tidak pada tempatnya dan tidak menaati jadwal yang sudah ditetapkan.

“Saya sudah perintahkan Kasat Pol-PP Kota Kupang untuk melakukan Operasi Tangkap Tangan (OTT) bagi pelaku yang melakukan pelanggaran dan diberi sanksi sesuai Perda yang berlaku,” tegas Penjabat Wali Kota Kupang, George M.Hadjoh,S.H via telepon selulernya kepada media ini, Jumat (3/3/2023).

Urusan sampah, menurut dia, bukan tugas Pemerintah Kota Kupang saja, tapi kewajiban semua masyarakat.

Karena itu, ia minta masyarakat buanglah sampah pada tempat–tempat yang sudah ditentukan dan sesuai jam yang sudah ditetapkan mulai pukul 18.00 Wita (jam 06.00 petang) hingga pukul 22.00 Wita (jam 10.00 malam).

Media ini mencoba menemui Lurah Oesapa di kantornya namun sedang tidak ada.

"Bapak tidak ada, sementara tugas di luar hari Senin baru masuk," ucap salah satu pegawai saat di jumpai wartawan di Kantor Lurah Oesapa.

Hingga berita ini diturunkan tumpukan sampah itu belum di angkut dari Dinas Lingkungan hidup dan Kebersihan Kota Kupang.
