Betulkah senja selalu berdusta? 

Datang dengan rona cantiknya

Lalu pergi ditelan kelamnya malam

Tetapi diriku masih saja jatuh cinta dan merindukannya.

 

Melepas memang tak mudah

Namun memintanya 'tuk tinggal pun tak mungkin

Dia memang harus pergi seperti senja

Menghilang dalam kebisingan malam

 

Senyum senja begitu indah

Namun membuatku lupa bahwa aku sedang terluka

Dan aku akan tetap tinggal dalam diam dan kesendirianku 

Karena ku t'lah tenggelam di dasar Pertiwi ini

 

'Ku menikmati gelapnya malam yang tak berbintang,

Beradu dengan hembusan sang angin, 

Sontak, sang rembulan pun ikut berkisah,

Ku coba tanya sekali lagi pada rembulan,

Apakah benar, senja itu pernah mendustainya?

 

AKu dipaksa untuk melepaskan engkau pergi,

Dan aku tak ingin tahu lagi kemana kamu pergi,

Dan dengan siapa kau akan bahagia,

Sebab aku t'lah terpuruk dalam lamunan hampa.

 

PART II:

 

Aku terus terpojok disudut ruangan itu,

Setiap pojok ruangan semu ku susuri, 

Menatap jauh keluar jendela yang tertutup rapat,

Melihat rintikan hujan yang tak kunjung henti

 

Hari semakin gelap,

Dan senja itu pun telah sirna,

Gemercik hujan tak kunjung berhenti menetes,

Aku kembali teringat akan kenangan masa laluku,

Hingga aku lupa, kalau aku sedang terpojok dalam ruang yang kelam.

 

Kini aku tersadar bukan lagi kamu yang ku genggam,

Bukan lagi kamu yang ku peluk, 

Bukan lagi kamu yang aku dekap,

Bukan lagi kamu yang akan bersamaku,

Karena semua telah kurelakan dan kuiklaskan,

Agar kau bahagia disana, di duniamu yang baru bersama sang waktu. (**)
