Kupang.SpektrumNtt.com || Wali Kota Kupang Dr. Jefirstson R. Riwu Kore, MM, MH menyerahkan kunci rumah yang telah selesai dibedah oleh Pemerintah Kota Kupang kepada 4 orang kepala keluarga di Kota Kupang, Selasa (27/07/21). 

Diketahui bahwa tiga dari empat orang penerima bantuan bedah rumah tersebut merupakan janda berusia lanjut dan penyandang disabilitas.

Penyerahan kunci rumah yang pertama dilaksanakan di RT 02 RT 01, Kelurahan Fatufeto, Kecamatan Alak, Kota Kupang kepada Oktovianus Y. Ratu Kore.

 Kunci rumah yang telah selesai di bedah itu diterima oleh istrinya, Nurnaningsih Ratu Kore yang sehari-hari bekerja serabutan demi menghidupi keluarga semenjak suaminya jatuh sakit beberapa tahun lalu.

Dalam kesempatan tersebut, Wali Kota Kupang didampingi oleh Camat Alak, Yulianus Willem Pally, SH dan Lurah Fatufeto, Wiljundaita Bunga.

Selanjutnya Walikota Kupang menyerahkan kunci rumah kepada Safira Anakay (66), di RT 11 RW 04 Kelurahan Alak. 

Safira merupakan seorang janda dan menggantungkan hidup pada anaknya yang sehari-hari bekerja sebagai buruh pelabuhan lantaran dirinya mengalami kelumpuhan pada kedua kakinya. 

Sebelum dibedah, kondisi rumah Safira yang berdinding triplek tua dan sebagiannya lagi berdinding bebak sudah reot dan hampir roboh. Serta tampak berlubang termakan rayap. 

Safira yang menggunakan kursi roda terharu ketika menyambut kunjungan Walikota Kupang. Ia menyampaikan terima kasihnya dengan suara parau menahan haru. Hal tersebut menyentuh dan membuat haru banyak orang yang menyaksikan peristiwa tersebut.

Mewakili keluarga Ibu Safira, Andi Boimau (Anak Ibu Safira.red) menyampaikan terima kasih kepada Pemerintah Kota Kupang yang telah membantu membangun rumah bagi Ibunya. “Kami sekeluarga mengucapkan terima kasih kepada Bapak Wali Kota dan jajaran yang sudah peduli dan membantu membangun rumah yang layak bagi orang tua kami. Ini semua berkat Tuhan melalui pemerintah sehingga orang tua kami bisa tinggal di rumah yang jauh lebih baik dari yang dulu, bahkan pemerintah melengkapi dengan perabot rumah tangga berupa tempat tidur, meja dan kursi," ujar Andi.

 Dalam kesempatan tersebut ia juga meminta agar Pemerintah Kota Kupang memperhatikan fasilitas penerangan di wilayah tersebut.

Dalam kesempatan tersebut Wali Kota Kupang mengatakan bahwa dirinya bersama Wakil Wali Kota Kupang, dr. Hermanus Man terus berusaha agar program-program prioritas ini bisa berjalan dengan baik.

Wali Kota menyadari bahwa masih banyak warga yang membutuhkan bantuan, namun dirinya meminta masyarakat tetap bersabar karena keterbatasan anggaran Pemkot sehingga bantuan dilakukan secara bertahap dengan melihat skala prioritas.

Wali Kota juga meminta para lurah untuk jeli dan cermat dalam melakukan pendataan terkait program-program bantuan. “Para lurah merupakan telinga dan mata pemerintah untuk melihat kebutuhan warga. Pendataan harus dilakukan lebih dini dan cermat agar tidak ada yang tercecer sehingga ketika anggarannya tersedia setiap usulan tersebut dapat dieksekusi oleh pemerintah sesuai skala prioritas", ujar sosok yang akrab disapa Jeriko ini.

Selanjutnya Wali Kota Kupang didampingi Camat Kota Raja Achrudin R. Abubakar, S.Sos, M.Si menyerahkan kunci rumah yang telah selesai dibedah kepada Ibu Yuliana Djami di RT 09 RW 03 Kelurahan Bakunase I, Kecamatan Kota Raja, Kota Kupang. Pada kesempatan tersebut hadir pula Lurah Bakunase I, Wilhelmus Lego Diken, S.IP.

Yuliana merupakan petani sayur, hasilnya penjualan yang tidak seberapa digunakan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan keluarga.  

Sementara itu di Kelurahan Fontein, RT 14 RW 05, Wali Kota Kupang menyerahkan kunci rumah kepada Ibu Yane A. Uru Hue , seorang janda penyandang disibilitas. Ia hidup dari belas kasih keluarganya yang tinggal dekat disekitar rumahnya. (SN/humas)
