Kupang.SpektrumNtt.com || Wakil Wali Kota Kupang, dr. Hermanus Man saat menerima audiens dari 41 Praja IPDN asal Kota Kupang di Ruang Garuda Kantor Wali Kota Kupang, Rabu (5/1). 

 

Menyampaikan bahwa Para Praja Institut Pemerintahan Dalam Negeri (IPDN) adalah para calon pemimpin. Mereka ditempah dalam lembaga pendidikan yang tidak sembarangan, dengan disiplin dan aturan yang ketat agar kelak menjadi pemimpin masa depan.

 

Menurutnya lembaga pendidikan dengan disiplin yang ketat seperti IPDN tentunya banyak memberi tantangan kepada para praja, yang harus mereka jawab dengan kreativitas dan inovasi baru. Dia yakin di kampus IPDN mereka tidak hanya memperoleh ilmu pengetahuan tapi juga dibina dalam pendidikan karakter agar memilik budi pekerti.

 

Kepada para praja Wawali berpesan agar mulai membiasakan diri belajar jadi pemimpin yang memiliki jiwa kepemimpinan sejak dari kampus. Pemimpin menurutnya harus memiliki kemampuan mempengaruhi orang lain untuk dengan sukarela melakukan apa yang diminta. Untuk menjadi seorang pemimpin menurutnya minimal harus memiliki 4 unsur, antara lain; kemampuan intelektual, kemampuan berkomunikasi, sensitivitas atau kepekaan terhadap kebutuhan lingkungan sekitar serta legalitas. Selain itu para praja juga diminta untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berbahasa Inggris yang sudah menjadi kebutuhan global. 

 

Kepala Bagian Protokol dan Komunikasi Pimpinan Setda Kota Kupang, Ernest S. Ludji, S.STP, M.Si yang juga senior praja IPDN, pada kesempatan yang sama menjelaskan, 41 orang praja IPDN yang hadir hari ini semuanya berasal dari Kota Kupang. Mereka tiba di Kota Kupang sejak 20 Desember 2021 lalu untuk berlibur bersama keluarga dan rencananya akan kembali ke IPDN pada 6 Januari 2022. 41 orang tersebut terdiri atas 15 orang Muda Praja (Tingkat I), 5 orang Madya Praja (Tingkat II), 5 orang Nindya Praja (Tingkat 3) dan 16 Wasana Praja/Praja Utama. 

 

Turut hadir dalam audiens tersebut Kepala Bagian Tata Pemerintahan Setda Kota Kupang, Hengky Malelak, S.STP, Lurah Naikoten II, Christo V. Amalo, S.IP,MM serta sejumlah purna praja lainnya.*PKP
